Papergang Unboxing | June 2020

Papergang boxes are back! I'm so excited to be writing about another Papergang unboxing after they were postponed for a month due to COVID-19. It may have only been a month, but I'm a big fan of these boxes. They fulfil my stationery craving and never disappoint!

A subscription box with a geometric design

This month's box was designed by Ohh Deer's founders Jamie and Mark in honour of Pride month. A percentage of this box's sales are going to the Switchboard LGBT+ helpline who have supported millions of people since 1974. Amazing!

Inside June's Papergang Box

Colourful stationery spread out flat.
The packaging design is clearly a dead giveaway about the colours and patterns we get in this month's box. We've got geometric patterns, bright colours and pride-inspired quotes! Opening it up, I knew I was going to love this box. But could it be one of the top boxes yet?

Bullet Journal Notebook

Geometric notebook and stickers
Dotted notebook and geometric stickers

First up in this box we have an item that I am extremely excited about and that is this amazing and bright dotted journal! I've been thinking about restarting my bullet journal for a while now and I was contemplating buying one so I feel like getting one in this month's box was a sort-of sign that I should!

The notebook has 160 pages to get creative on and is dotted with blue dots which I think makes this journal that little more unique. I love the blue painted edges and though I'm not the biggest fan of the colour scheme, (only being honest!) I love how bright and colourful it is. I just wish it was more classic rainbow colours.

Geometric and Alphabet Stickers

Colourful geometric sticker pack

To go with this fab journal, are these geometric stickers that match the cover design perfectly. I love versatile stickers like this because you can do so much with them. You can create a theme design, make geometric pictures, use them as markers and all sorts! I really like these stickers and think they'll make the first month's bullet journal theme really cool.

I also like that Papergang has given five sticker sheets as it's nice to have multiples letters to use. There are 490 stickers altogether so you can really go crazy with these! The only thing I wish is that there were more of the popular letters to use like the vowels and more popular consonants.

Rainbow Sticky Notes & Calendar Card

Blank rainbow calendar card and pastel rainbow post-it notes

I go through post-it notes like crazy both at home and at work, so I'm always happy to see post-it notes in Papergang boxes. This month's rainbow ones are lovely as they're pastel enough to write on them and see the notes more easily and the shape makes them easy to write on and use. I love shaped post-its but they have to be more functional than they are pretty for me and these ones are both pretty and functional.

In every month's box, we get these blank calendar cards that I didn't really like at the beginning. But now that I have a few, I can't wait to put them together to make a 2021 desk calendar! They're going to be so useful and this month's design is probably one of my favourites so far.

Gold Foiled Art Prints

Art prints and an iron-on patch

Prints are something that I don't think we get very often in these boxes. We've had them a couple of times but I've not always been a fan of them. These two are beautiful gold-foiled prints which have such powerful messages on them! I love the font and the gold-foiling giving them a clearly high-quality look and feel.

As much as I like the prints and would love to frame them, I don't think they'll go with the aesthetic I'm looking for at home so I won't be hanging these up any time soon. That's not to say that they'll go to waste as I have a pinboard above my desk that I like to use to inspire and motivate me from time to time. I have a set of motivational and inspirational prints and post-cards that I like to peg onto my board and I like to change it up every now and then. I'll definitely be adding these to my prints and postcard collection and rotating them onto my board when I need to be inspired to stay true and stay proud!

Iron-on Patch

A black iron-on patch

Last but most definitely not least, we have an iron-on patch which I'm definitely excited about. I decided about a month ago that I want to re-patch my denim jacket and basically put almost all the patches on the back rather than scattered the way they are now. I'm so glad I haven't done it yet as I'll be able to add this one to the collection along with my other two Papergang patches.

A flat lay of the contents of a subscription box

I really like that the theme runs through almost all of the pieces this month whether it's through the design, the rainbows or pride-inspired quotes. The box is well put-together this month which is what makes it one of my favourites so far. I'm so happy to have a new patch and bullet journal to get creative with too.
