Five Favourites - March 2020

Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well, staying home when you can and staying safe. I've been self-isolating and working from home for about 10 days now and I've actually been okay about being at home all the time. I usually have a lot of time at home during the summer holidays anyway so I'm used to it but I do start to go a little stir-crazy during the third week onwards because I get bored and want to have things to do. I've been keeping myself busy and being at home has sparked my creativity with my art, blog and Instagram so it's been nice to have something to focus on when I'm not completing tasks for work.

Today, I've got my five favourites from March for you. These have been things that have been making my days at home so much better and a lot more fun.

Girl wearing a yellow Hufflepuff hoodie holding a mug of tea.

Style | Hufflepuff Hoodie

Just before the country went into lockdown, one of my best friends bought the three of us matching Harry Potter hoodies in our houses. We haven't got someone to represent Slytherin but that's okay. Not only does this hoodie hold sentimental value but it is the cosiest thing to wear. I've been in it almost every day since I started working from home and my hamster Cracker even likes to sleep in the pocket.

Beauty | Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust Palette

I think this month's favourite was a little obvious when I reviewed it here last week. I've been having so much fun with the palette and I'm really enjoying creating various purple looks with it. You'd think I was sick of using the same colours but there are so many versatile looks you can create with the palette that isn't entirely purple! If you follow me on Instagram too you may have seen that I even made an my first IGTV video using the palette to show a look I haven't seen anyone do yet. Red-winged eyeliner is one of my new favourite looks.

Entertainment | Brooklyn 99

Season six is on Netflix and I couldn't be happier about it! Just when I thought I'd run out of things to watch on Netflix (that I liked), the sixth season was released. I've watched most of the episodes already but not in the right order. It's been so lovely to have something funny and lighthearted to watch in the evenings whilst having dinner. Noice!

Home | Rose & Rhubarb Wax Melts

Another one of my potentially obvious favourites is the Crafty As They Come wax melts I reviewed earlier this month. I've been absolutely loving these and even more so now that I'm working from home and can fully appreciate the scents. I'm particularly fond of the Rose and Rhubarb scent which is just perfection. I can't describe how amazing and accurate it smells. I love it. Charlotte who runs the shop has announced she's working on some new scents and the minute they come out, I'm making an order for some more!

Misc | iPhone 11

I got a new phone this month after my old iPhone 7S started to glitch during phone calls. I couldn't change the volume on my calls which were always very quiet and sometimes people couldn't hear me if I called them but could hear me if they called me. It was all very strange so I thought it was time to get a new phone. I got an amazing upgrade deal and now I've got an iPhone 11! I absolutely love it and I'm still getting used to it. Loving the battery life, camera and features I didn't have on my old phone like the Face ID. It's just nice to have a phone that works and works well!

What are your favourites this month?
