What John Wore | Ft. Jacamo

A rare occasion on What Cat Says. Today we're not looking at what I've been wearing but what my lovely other half John has been wearing! The awesome guys at Jacamo asked us if we'd like to showcase some of their menswear on here and I couldn't pass the chance at being able to gift John with some new things, especially after all the support he's been giving me recently. Anyway before I go off on a tangent, let's get onto the clothes and share with you what John wore out to dinner the other night.

It's not often I get to style John up! He has his favourite things to wear and his style is very him. He's always been open to trying new colours and styles but he knows what he likes and what suits him best and I've learned to know what this is too. I really love his style and it was a little difficult to find something I know he'd definitely like too. Sometimes I like something, but he doesn't - and that's okay but I think I did a good job this time. John's style is simple, it's clean and stylish indeed. I'd describe it as relaxed 'smasual'.

First up I got him these gorgeous Hush Puppies lace up shoes. I love John in a pair of brown shoes and he appreciates a good pair of shoes too. I can't ever remember seeing John in lace up shoes but I think it suits him. He liked the fact that there is a little stretch to them on each side like slip-ons would to allow more room to take them off and put them on without undoing the laces too much. He also mentioned that they were a little big for his size bearing in mind he's a solid UK 11 but really liked the white stitching detail too. Overall a great pair of shoes and a lovely addition to his collection even if I say so myself!

Now, John is an athletic build so finding him shirts is sometimes a little difficult. He knows which brands to go for but this time I thought I'd try and get something different for him. I'd never heard of Tog24 before but I liked that this was more of a wear-in-hot-weather polo shirt since it's often too hot in the summer for polos usually. The thin material is breathable and in John's words "a cross between a polo and a t-shirt". There is even a little secret zip chest pocket for more active days to keep a couple of things safe and close. John wasn't too sure on the collar though as the material meant it didn't have much shape to it compared to usual polo shirts. He did say though, that it was comfortable and breathable to wear. Overall it's a lovely quality polo shirt and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a type of active wear polo shirt for a holiday, long walks or a warm day to the beach.

It was quite entertaining taking these photos. We took advantage of John's lovely garden and of course Dodger had to be a part of it! He was so confused as to why we weren't playing with him so I asked John to just be a bit more natural and play with Dodger whilst I took some snaps resulting in the cutest photo of them two ever at the very top of this post. I can't handle the cuteness!

So what do you think of John's new bits? Jacamo have a ton of great brands on their website as well as their own range of clothing so there's something there for every man and in a wide price range too from affordable to high end brands. Will you be visiting Jacamo to buy some things for the men in your life?
