New In | Soap & Glory Eye Make-up & Eye Make-up Remover

AD - PR Package

It was such an amazing surprise when I got a package from Soap & Glory through the post the other week! Around Christmas time, Soap & Glory asked if they could send me over some of their Christmas goodies and I was so unbelievably excited that one of my favourite and most accessible cruelty-free brands wanted to send me something. I did a long Instagram story about the haul and I included some of their goodies in a Christmas gift guide. I didn't expect them to send anything else but low and behold, here we are and I'm excited to share with you some of the new things they have and that I've been trying out over the last few weeks.

Makeup remover and eye makeup products.

As I've mentioned, Soap & Glory have been a favourite of mine for a while now. I use their face wash, body scrubs, body butter, you name it - I've probably tried it. I love that they're a cruelty-free brand and a brand I can easily find and buy from at my local Boots store. But today, I'm trying out some new eye products that Soap & Glory have only just been released and that I've been loving over the last couple of weeks.

Puffy Eye Attack Triple Action Jelly Eye Make-up Remover

Removing eye makeup is one of the most time-consuming parts of my makeup routine. I spend a lot of time ensuring every last bit of makeup is off my eyes, especially as they're quite sensitive to makeup these days. I go through so many cotton pads trying to take them off and so I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to remove with Soap & Glory's Jelly Eye Make-up Remover.
A little on the pad, a few seconds to soak in and your eye makeup is gone just like that. Well, close enough. I do need to go back once or twice but it is so much easier than before. The jelly is cool and soothing on the skin and a little goes a long way. For just £5 a bottle, I think it's a bargain! You wouldn't say I've used it every day for 2 weeks from the look of what's left in the bottle from the photo, would you?

Lid Stuff - Dual-Ended Eye Shadow Sticks

Three Eye Shadow Sticks
Three Eye Shadow sticks in metallic shades
I'm not going to lie to you. When I first saw these shadow sticks, I wasn't sure at all. I'm very much a palette girl and so eye shadow sticks aren't for me, but I thought I would give them a go and see how they are.

There are three different sticks, one is a gold-toned, another a glittery grey and the final one is a rose-gold colour. Each stick has a metallic shade and a matte shade made to complement and blend well together. I tested out the gold one a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and creamy the formula is, as well as how nicely it applied to the skin. Along with the matte shade, it created a simple and muted smokey eye that would be perfect for an everyday look.

I really liked the blend of the gold one and I'm looking forward to trying the pink and grey one next. The swatches do the colours justice compared to what they look like in person.

Thick & Fast Waterproof Mascara

This has been my go-to mascara for the past few weeks especially with Storm Ciara and Dennis making their way through the UK! Soap & Glory created a brand new waterproof formula for their much loved classic Thick & Fast mascara and though I've never tried the Thick & Fast mascara beforehand, I've been enjoying this easy-to-apply, thick mascara. It glides on smoothly, the brush is perfect for my sensitive eyes and it's a really black formula that extends and thickens my lashes nicely. Since going cruelty-free, I haven't found many mascaras I like but this one has definitely made my top 3. If it made it through the wind and rain of Storm Dennis in Brighton last weekend, then it's pretty waterproof to me!

Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen

Last but not least, Soap & Glory sent me their Supercat liner which I have tried once before. I remember not being too happy with it but I can't seem to remember why so I was happy to give this eyeliner another go. Personally, I love these felt-tip style eyeliners and find they work best for me because I can work with them pretty quickly. I also find them easier to control to create a variety of liner thicknesses. Personally, I really like this liner but I have one tiny quarrel with it and it's that I find it runs way too quickly and easily. I laugh an awful lot and when I laugh, I cry really easily, and if this is too close to my waterline, I have eyeliner running down my face in a matter of seconds. It's only been on a couple ocassions that it's happened and it hasn't stopped me using it but I would love to see Soap & Glory do a more waterproof liner to go with their waterproof mascara for cry-laughers like me.

I'd love to know what are your Soap & Glory staples?
For me currently, it's the Jelly Eye-Makeup Remover, Hand Food, Orangeasm Body Wash and the Purifying Foam Cleanser. I'd really like to try their brow products, Kick Ass Just Bright concealer and the Facial Wash.

  1. What a great collaboration, well done! The shadow sticks look interesting. My eyes won’t hold powder eyeshadow so might try these. Nice colours :)

  2. I love Soap & Glory but have never used their makeup range. I like the sound of the mascara and I've been after an eye makeup remover for ages so may have to pick this up myself! x
