10 Happy Things No.2

It's been a LONG time since I last wrote one of my happy things posts but since I returned to blogging, I thought it was the right time to continue the series. And since the series is making its *ehem* third comeback, I aim to be a little more consistent with these and publish a 10 Happy Things post at least once a month. Please hold me to it!

A to-do list pad with a pair of heavy black scissors and a green gel ink pen sitting on top of it. There is a book just showing in the background on the top right labelled 14,000 Things To Be Happy About.

Without further ado, here are my 10 Happy Things for the months of August/September:

  1. My friends.Over the last month, it's been so nice to see my friends. I really loved spending quite a bit of time with my bestie, Ana in the summer holiday especially because we don't see each other very much and we live so far apart. We recently celebrated her sister's graduation and we went to Hitchin Lavender too which you can read all about here. Being back at work now too means that I've been reunited with my other two besties that I absolutely love working with. It's been so nice to see them every day again and enjoy each other's company.
  2. My new Papergang subscription box.I know it's only been one month but having a subscription box to look forward to is amazing. I absolutely loved my first box and I'm excited about the next one since Papergang emailed a hint for the next box!
  3. Sleeping.I have been doing an awful lot of sleeping recently and most of the time it's been because I am so exhausted from the day I've had. But despite this, I've really enjoyed my night's sleep and little naps. I love to sleep. Simple as that!
  4. Having unlimited doughballs and then regretting it.Yesterday, my friends and I went out to Pizza Express for dinner and took advantage of their unlimited dough balls deal. To celebrate 50 years of dough balls, they were offering unlimited doughballs with each bottle of prosecco and that is exactly what we did. We ate an unhealthy amount of doughballs and all three of us started to regret it when we fell into our doughball comas.
  5. Finding a pen that feels amazing to write in.
There's something about finding an amazing pen that glides like a dream and makes your handwriting beautiful that makes me extremely happy. The pen I'm currently obsessing over is the Pentel 0.7mm Energel pen. It's a gel ink pen and it just writes amazing.
  6. Still enjoying my haircut. As you may know, I had a drastic hair cut a few weeks ago cutting off about 8-10 inches of my hair. And the best thing about it is, how glad I am that I did it. I'm still so happy with my new hair length and style and I still look forward to styling it every day.
  7. My houseplants happily growing.Over the last few weeks, I noticed that my houseplants are actually pretty happy and actually growing. I think I might even have to re-pot a couple because they're getting so big. I'm really pleased that my Snake Plant has sprouted some new leaves and my Poinsettia is still going strong (wondering if it'll flower for Christmas). I also have a Yucca tree that is doing extremely well!
  8. Collaborations.Since coming back to my blog, I'm so happy to say that I have a couple of collaboration posts coming up in the next few weeks. I'm so happy to be working with some brands in the very near future and creating some fun content too!
  9. Playing with makeup looks.Over the last few weeks, this has been one of my favourite things to do. I've been watching a lot more beauty YouTubers, adding colour to my makeup again and trying out new colour combinations and looks. I feel like it's all sparked my love for makeup again which I'm very happy about.
  10. Sweater weather.I am a summer girl through and through. It's my favourite weather and the weather I'm happiest in BUT... I love winter clothing more. Weird right? I'm so happy that we're coming into sweater weather again simply because I get to pull out and wear all my favourite jumpers again.

What's making you happy right now?
