The weather is finally getting warmer and I can finally start thinking about putting most of my jumpers away and wearing some of my favourite skirts and dresses a little more often. I hate being cold so I'm a lot happier now that the sun is out and the days are a little longer. As much as I love my winter wear, I've been desperate to wear some of my favourite spring clothes and buy some new pieces too. With a little help from Femme Luxe, I've been able to add some pieces to my wardrobe that have been great for transitioning into these warmer spring days especially since the weather hasn't made its mind up about whether it's staying warm yet or not!
The first thing I picked up from Femme Luxe is this oversized t-shirt dress. I got it in a size up because I usually prefer oversized jumpers but I think I should have gone for my size as it's just a tad too oversized. That said, it does mean it's a little longer and so a length I'm happier to wear out too. I also like it with a pair of leggings underneath but it looks better with just a pair of trainers or high knee boots for that Ariana Grande inspired style! As much as I've been enjoying this dress, I do wish the material was a little thicker and a bit more like a jumper where it tapers in, but that's a personal preference.
The next piece I picked up was these khaki leggings which I've surprisingly enjoyed. I usually stay away from the wet-look or leather-look leggings because I don't think they look good on me these days, but I thought I would push out of my comfort zone and see how I could style these and if I would like them. They look a lot better than I expected and I think they're perfect to wear with a long top or if you're a bit braver than me, you might want to pair it with a crop top as they're super high waisted! They're really comfortable too which I was happy about.
This jumpsuit has so far been my favourite of the four pieces in this haul and the one I feel is the most versatile. As well as having worn this with trainers for a casual day look recently, I wore this out to a party last weekend with a pair of heels and loved it. I got lots of compliments and I thought it looked glamorous as well as being super comfortable. Ideal for dancing!
Last but not least is another fab jumpsuit that I cannot wait to wear out. Not only do I love the dogtooth print, but I adore the wide leg and how well it fits. It really is true to size and the material is nice and thick too. I'll be honest, I'm not too sure about the one long sleeve but I've also never worn a jumpsuit like this before so it's a new style for me. I think this would be a great piece for a night out or for a party in the summer.
I really hope the weather picks up. It's been a long winter and I'm done with the wind and the storms too! I'm also really loving the trends this spring/summer too. I love the yellows, neons, frills and prints! What trends are you into this season?
