After two long weeks offline, my blog is finally back and I'm here with a little post about the wardrobe additions I picked up from Femme Luxe. I'm so glad that I've been able to collaborate with them on a regular basis and I really enjoy their clothing which is why I have four new (and different) pieces that have become staples in my current winter to spring wardrobe.
Though it may be coming up to Spring, the weather is still very much fluctuating. Two weeks ago it was snowing and just today it was 17 degrees and I had to open a window for the first time this year! Nevertheless, for me, it's still sweater weather and so I'm pleased to have added some more knitwear to my collection and particularly something leopard print and red. Not only is red a colour I love wearing, but the leopard print is a print I'm currently obsessed with. I have acquired three leopard print skirts, two leopard print dresses and now this jumper in the last few months. I think I may have a thing for leopard print. Either way, this jumper has everything I want in a jumper at the moment. It has the big sleeves that I adore and have in other previously bought jumpers, the colour I love and the cropped style I'm growing to love.
On top of that, I thought I would brave trying knitted leggings. It's a style of legging I've been curious about and really wanted to try. I've worn them only a couple of times since I got them but I think I'm wearing them okay. I feel like I need a little inspiration and guidance on how to wear them properly. I'm thinking maybe a plain tee, checked shirt and the leggings would be my go-to look with them and one I want to have a go at and potentially blog about later on. What do you think? I like them though, they're cosy, super high waisted and not as sheer as I thought they may be.
Another thing I picked up from Femme Luxe, is this loungewear set. It's again, something a little different for me but it has become a quick favourite for more relaxed days. I don't normally do this shade of pink and I don't normally do 'tracksuit' sets but I really liked this one and wanted to try out the 'ath-leisure' look for myself. Not only am I surprised at how much I like the colour, but how it looks on too. I didn't expect to feel this comfortable in a cropped hoodie, but I think the fact that the bottoms are high waisted and the hoodie top isn't too cropped helps. Out of all the pieces in this haul, this set is my favourite.
Last but not least, I have this ribbed rust jumpsuit which I was a bit weary of. At first, I worried it would cling to all the parts I didn't want it to, but when I tried it on I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it fit. Not only does it flatter, but the jersey material is extremely comfortable and soft. The only issue I have is how long the legs are. Even with my highest heels, it's too long so I'm having to ask my mum to take it up for me. I need at least 2-3 inches off the bottom! I feel like this jumpsuit is a great piece and I can't wait to wear it out when the legs have been taken up.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my latest additions to my wardrobe. I really like my tracksuit and it's the pieces I've been wearing the most, followed by the jumper. I really like Femme Luxe and love that I've had yet another opportunity to work with them. I wouldn't work with them again if I didn't think they were worth it.
I hope you've all had a fab weekend! I've been busy painting the house again and catching up on A LOT of sleep. I've got a week off now so I'm hoping to relax, have some me time and also get some posts scheduled to go up over the next few weeks. I want to catch up for some of the lost time from the last two weeks when I lost my blog for a bit. Glad it's all back now and happy to be blogging again!
