What Cat Wore | The Green Biker Jacket

Well, hello. It's been a while since I last posted an outfit. (*ehem* nearly 3 months). In total this year, I have posted 4 outfits. That's dire compared to once upon a time when I'd post about 10 a month! Anyway, the lack of outfits has been for multiple reasons but mainly down to body confidence. But guess what? This time, I am ACTUALLY doing something about it. Not only have I been really good at cooking some pretty healthy meals but my snacking problem has reached an all time low and I've joined a gym! Let me know if you'd like a blog post about facing gymophobia because I've had it for all these years and now, I'm finally on my way to getting over it.

It's been too long since I had a good old shop and even longer since I bought myself a jacket. The other day I treated myself to some retail therapy and found myself trying on a million things in Primark. It was only when I started thinking about making my way to the till that I found this beaut of  a biker and fell in love with it instantly.

On this Primark trip I had a huge dilemma. If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories you may have seen me asking for some help choosing between this and a gorgeous dusty pink corduroy and faux fur jacket (which gives me 'feminine Del Boy' vibes). Both gorgeous in completely different ways and both £25. Long story short, I really couldn't choose so I got both and am not regretting it in the slightest. I love them both and I cannot wait to sport the other jacket on some colder days.

(I keep going off on a tangent, soz.) I love biker jackets but I've never had one that I felt really suited me perfectly - until this one. I was really excited about it. Not only did I love the classic style of it, but I loved that it was different to the usual black pleather that a lot of people go for. I fell for the fact that it was this beautiful evergreen that is so perfect for the coming autumn/winter trends and works well with a lot of what I have in my wardrobe already. The suedette material is really lovely too. I'm not a huge fan of pleather  so I was happy to find something different.

I wore the jacket with a classic pair of high waisted jeans and a long-sleeved grey top: another one of my recent Primark purchases. It's honestly the comfiest, versatile and pretty, basic long-sleeved top I've ever had. I bought it in the grey and black and I want this in all the colours now! Forget the classic jersey material - it's all about this light knit stuff!
On the day I wore this outfit, it was so much colder than it had been so I pulled out my favourite boots for the first time in months! I missed wearing these embroidered boots. They're just so comfy and beautiful. They also work really well with this jacket to add some print to this whole look.

Primark have recently been working on their sizing and so I was sure to check what size I wanted. Normally I'm between a 10 and 12 and decided to get this in a 12 after trying both sizes on. With jackets, I like to make sure I can wear them with a jumper underneath and still zip it up comfortably and move a lot without any restrictions. A 10 didn't allow for that and so I happily sized up. The size 12 also allows me to roll the sleeves up if I want to for a little extra sass in my style!

Honestly though, having bought nice new clothes for the first time in months and months has felt so nice. And on top of finally doing something about my body confidence, it's made me actually want to post outfits for the first time in a long time. I'm hoping I can start posting more outfits more often and regain the title of style blogger I revoked myself from a couple of months ago. I know I'm not the most stylish and amazing of style bloggers, but I like to think that I have style and that it's relatable, affordable and at times, fun!

What do you think of this jacket then? Will you be popping into your local Primark to find one? They have it in electric blue and dusty pink too! I really love it so there's no doubt it'll be making plenty of appearances here and on my Instagram again. I hope you don't mind, lol.
