Stationery | Kate Spade Lemon Spiral Notebook

Right now, I'm completely and utterly mad for bright colours in my stationery. Particularly yellow at the moment. I have a yellow bullet journal and to contrast it, I have a blue and pink floral agenda. To add more yellow and a clash of prints, I've recently got my hands on this gorgeous lemon printed notebook from Kate Spade via Rooi*. I don't usually go for notebooks bigger than A5 but I'm here to tell you why this is my new favourite and what I'll be using it for.

Okay so first of all let's address how beautiful this notebook is. I love it. It's bright, it's yellow, it's fresh. And it's perfect for brightening up your stationery collection. I've never had anything from Kate Spade before so I was keen to see what the hype was about. On first impressions, I was instantly a fan. I could see it was good quality paper, a sturdy binding and the print on the front is just so pretty you couldn't say no to it. As for the size? Well, I've never had anything bigger than A5 either so I wanted something a bit bigger to brainstorm blog ideas, plan out posts and work on my blog easier. I usually run out of space on a smaller notebook so a bigger one might help me out a little bit. I have my bullet journal for on the spot ideas and keeping track of stats but I want this solely for blog work.

When you first open the luxury notebook you've got a gold polka-dotted inside cover and a useful yellow double-sided pocket to put any loose or important papers for safe keeping. I know I'll be keeping things like PR information and little papers with random blog post ideas. Sometimes I'll get an idea and because of the amount of times I've forgotten what I know were great ideas, I'll write them on random bits of paper asap, so this pocket will be useful to keep those.

I love the paper in this notebook. It's an ivory colour and feels like that thicker quality paper. Though it isn't easy to see in the photos, the pages can be ripped out without ruining the page or the notebook. There is an easy-rip line by the binding just in case you need to take out the page or you've made a mistake. I don't think I'll be ripping out many pages but it's good to know it's there if needed.

I can't wait to start using this notebook! I want to start using it at the beginning of September along with my bullet journal and my Ban.do agenda.

  2. I adore the beautiful bold colour of your notebooks. I’ve never owned anything by Kate Spade, but I would love too! I have an A4 journal to keep track of my blog work, it’s actually from The Works. I love stationery in general, there are so many pretty bits about lately. :-) xx
