Halloween Makeup | Snapchat's Deer Filter

Well isn't this a spontaneous Halloween post? Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you've all had some fun celebrating Halloween this weekend or even tonight. Despite staying in working and studying tonight, I decided to at least get into the Halloween spirit at home and paint my favourite Snapchat filter on my face - the cute deer filter. Just to make my night just a little more exciting!

With no plans to celebrate Halloween at all this year, or to even paint my face I was feeling a little glum. I usually at least plan to paint my face for Halloween and with my little siblings feeling too big for trick or treating, there's no going out to do that too! But when my brother just wanted to be painted like a skeleton for Halloween when I got home, I took the opportunity to paint my own face.

A little black and white Snazaroo face paint, some dark brown eyeshadow and orange blush later and you have the deer Snapchat filter painted on your face. It's pretty self explanatory really but John did think I was a fox or a donkey when I sent him a photo (pfft! A donkey of all things)!
The ears were a little more difficult to make this look a little more of a believable all-night-snapchat-filter, but I made them pretty quickly. I cut out two ear shapes from a tutorial I watched a few days ago and coloured them with coloured pencils to make them look like the deer's ears! I cellotaped them to a thin brown hairband and I was sorted! It was all pretty DIY but that's the beauty about it! ♥

Not bad for a quick, fun, last minute and easy to wear Halloween makeup look right? I think it's cute! I just wish I had somewhere to wear it out to, but I stuck to plastering it all over social media instead - teehee. I'll be sad when I wash this off at bedtime. It was fun while it lasted!
What did you dress up as for Halloween this year?

  2. I thought this was the cutest thing! Such a good idea! I didn't have any plans either. Just carved a pumpkin at the weekend and dressed up for work and carved another pumpkin with the kids and did some Halloween activities with them. Your too cute as a dear!💕
