What Cat Wore | Maxi Shorts

 

It has been a long hot minute since I last posted an outfit on my blog. I haven't felt very style inspired for a while, and it's been grating on me quite a bit. But with that said, I have become a little more inspired over the last couple of weeks and just shot about 4 different and new outfits to post throughout August and I have a few more I'd like to post about too! So there will definitely be more fashion back on the blog - Hurrah! Today I'm sharing with you a sale purchase I made back in Decemver and have only just worn! Yeah, I know... I'll explain.

 



So back in late December, I was shopping on Missguided for a bargain when I saw these amazing shorts! Now, I can't remember what they called them but I like to see them as 'maxi shorts'. A bit obvious why right? Anyway, I originally bought them for Santorini but whilst I was out there I didn't get around to wearing them for some reason, and they came back unworn. I really love these shorts and I was getting a little annoyed with myself that I hadn't found anywhere or anything to wear them to until my friend's engagement party!

Maxi Shorts - Missguided / 90s Crop - Miss Selfridge / Lilac Courts - F&F Tesco / Bag - Primark

I wore the shorts with a simple navy 90s crop and to add a little colour I wore my lilac courts. I was going to wear something a little higher but I walked down the stairs and I saw the future: My descent to the ground and a cut knee after a couple of drinks. So I opted for shorter heels. The only problem was, was that higher heels meant my maxi panels wouldn't be dragging along the floor but it was okay in the end. I may have stepped on the panels a couple of times but I didn't fall over all night!

Honestly though, one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe right now and I'm so happy I got to go out wearing this finally! It only took 7 months after the purchase!
