2016 Goals - Update

Back on the 28th December 2015, I wrote a list of goals to aim for throughout 2016 in both life and blogging. Often, I write up these goals and I don't do much else about them after writing them, but this time has been different. I've been working hard on my goals this year and though only early April, I can say I've completed one and making progress on a couple of others. Read on to take a look at how I'm doing!

Life Goals
Going right into it, my top life goal was to be accepted into a University. I didn't write much about what course I was applying for or anything like that because I was super scared about this one. This was the one that would change my life forever because it would open up the doors to a career I've wanted since I was 9 years old. This life changing goal is all I've ever wanted and when I wrote that down, it solidified to me that I was ready for this. I feel like it's safe to say that I have been accepted into a university to do a Schools Direct course and do my teacher training! I couldn't be happier to announce this right now... It's not a thing I like to talk about because I don't like to mix or talk about work stuff on with my blog. But this is a big life thing, and I can't wait to begin the course! I'm so happy, my job as a TA has only made me more confident in my choice.. I just can't explain the feeling it gives me right now. I know this is only the beginning and the hard work is yet to come - but I'm ready for it! And I'm going to nail it ♥

In other life goals I'd like to say I'm currently succeeding in the ongoing goal to Grow My Hair, which is has very well! I've been doing my best to care for it with the right shampoo, conditioner and hair oils and on top of that, I've also decided not to colour it as planned in a bid to keep it as healthy and happy as possible. Plus I'm kinda over the idea of ombré hair right now. But in terms of Growing My Nails. I've failed miserably at that one... That just snap too quickly no matter how well I take care of them :(
On the topic of being happy with appearances, I haven't made much progress in the Happy Body stage. I didn't reach my goal for my holiday but I have been more active and eaten lots healthier since the start of the year. This I'm proud of because for me this is the first baby steps to getting the happy body I'm after! I'm going to try extra hard to get there when I come back from holiday.

Other life goals involved Reading Unread Books and Photography. I don't think I've picked up any other book but Blog Inc since then and I have no excuses... I need to work on this one! But with I've started to pick up my camera again and rekindle my love for photography. I'm so excited about photography again thanks to my DSLR. It satisfies me and makes me so happy when I take a good photo! I can't wait to share some of the photography I come back with from Santorini!

Blog Goals

This year I wanted to hit 1000 followers via BlogLovin'. I've been making so much more effort on my blog since the new year and I can happily say that I'm half way there on reaching my goal of 1000 followers. I currently have 820 of you reading my blog right now and I couldn't be happier to have you all subscribed to me via BlogLovin'. Thank you for being here and reading - I couldn't be close to reaching my goal without you. ♥

I've been making a little more effort to take more outfit photos for my ongoing What Cat Wore series, and I think I'm getting there with this goal. I know during the summer months you'll be seeing more outfits thanks to gorgeous lighting and a love for summer clothing, but I do feel the need to take more outfits being that this is a style blog too. I love creating outfit posts, but I just seem to feel like I never have the time too. Maybe I need to wake up earlier to take photos of my outfits first thing in the morning. That little extra morning effort might help me...

Last but not least, I did want to try and improve my Photography here on my blog. I personally feel like I've improved greatly with my photography. I love my photos recently and I want to up my game yet again, but I'm on my way there and for now that's good enough for me.

Overall, I'm quite proud of where I stand with my goals right now. I've reached my most important one and I'm working on most of these on a daily basis. I think it's good to look back at your goals and see how your doing every now and then. It's a great way to look at ways to improve your goal, track progress and find alternative ways to reach them!
Let's talk in the comments - tell me what your goals are and how you're doing with them? I'd love to hear all about it ♥!
