My 5 October Favourites

5 October Favourites

This month's favourites were easy to pick. They're five things that I haven't let go of all month, and would have been seen wearing or with every day. I've invested in a few pieces this October and they've already proved to be worthy investments! Read on to find out more about them :)

Glasses & Jumper

My first favourite is my newest essential. After realising that I probably REALLY needed glasses, I headed off to Specsavers at the end of September and ended up coming out with these gorgeous transparent teal FCUK glasses in style code 99. I can't lie, I absolutely love wearing these. I know a lot of people hate wearing glasses, but I'm not one of those people. I think they can change up a look entirely and I feel these make me look sophisticated and stylish all at the same time. I am also really loving my Converse ones just as much for a more relaxed but still super stylish look, but these ones are more my statement glasses and a little more fun to play around with in terms of make up and outfits.

Lipsticks

Second are my new Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks. If you've followed my blog for a while, you'll know that I've swatched and reviewed Maybelline Colour Sensationals before and know they're my most favourite lipstick for colour, opacity and feel. No they're not the most long lasting, but I love them anyway. I've been adoring their new matte lipstick collection and purchased this trio on the 3 for 2 at boots. I bought Magnetic Magenta which is a bright pink, Devine Wine which is a dark red and Nude Embrace which is a dark sort of brown/nude. They're really amazing lipsticks and I've been enjoying them so much so that I might have to get the other three available in the UK. But I have spotted online more colours on the US website... Please bring them to the UK!!!! I need that violet colour...

Cat Jumper

Next up is a mid month purchase that I've worn at least twice a week since buying and it's this cute kitty cat jumper from H&M. I absolutely adore this purchase I made in the H&M in Lisbon and I can't get enough of it. It's soooo comfortable to wear and the little faces are just adorable. I'm finding it a little hard to wear tucked in as it's a mid-cropped jumper. But it works well with a high waisted skirt of any kind. It's bee a solid favourite and I just can't get enough of it yet.

Navy Velvet Boots

You may have seen these on my blog already here but they HAD to be in my favourites this month. These navy velvet beauts from New Look have been a wonderful addition to my shoe collection and I'm just loving them to bits. They're doing well considering when I wear boots quite often, I find them falling apart a month in but these are holding up pretty well and I haven't found a single thing wrong with them yet. *Touch wood*. Despite their statement status, they're quite versatile and I absolutely love wearing them with skirts, dresses and jeans. When I purchased these, I was originally looking for a black pair of boots (the only thing I'm missing in my shoe collection right now) and ended up with these as a spontaneous purchase and I haven't looked back. They're just simply gorgeous must-haves! Problem is now... I still don't have any black boots :|

Black Bag
Last but not least my final favourite of this month is my new bag. I bought this from New Look around the same time as buying the boots. I bought this because all my bags seemed to be getting tatty and old looking and I felt that I needed an investment bag for the season to come. I also wanted black to go with everything and something casual but still cool for style. With bags I am super super fussy, so I also wanted something that was going to be safe for days in the city and hold a bunch of stuff and when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. It holds a surprising amount of stuff and with the new bag tax has proved useful when I've forgotten my totes at home and I've only got a couple of small things I need to bag up. It's honestly been a miracle bag holding up well in Portugal and doing well for me this month. It hasn't faltered once and I'm so glad to have invested in this lovely bag!
So those are my 5 favourites for the month! Tell me what your favourites are this month, and if you've blogged about them already - link me to them in the comments. I love favourites posts, they're one of my favourites to read! I hope your October has been treating you well ♥
