Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

Benefit has always been a brand I thought far too expensive for my likings, I've never been too sure about spending the money on any of their items, but after seeing this hyped and reading about this, I thought if Benefit spent 3 years creating this, then it's got to be something special.
It's an ongoing battle with most of us beauty bloggers: to find out Holy Grail foundation that we're going to love and buy again when it runs out. It was always between the No7 Stay Perfect or Maybelline Fit Me, but now I think I found may have found my newest favourite foundation.

Benefit's Hello Flawless Foundation boasts SPF 25 protection as well as a being oil free. On top of this, they are proud of their new foundation technology that allows the skin to breathe, which I have to love. I'm very concious of my skin's health these days and this was the winning factor for me when I was speaking to the lovely Benefit sales lady who was seeing which shade suited me best.
I went for the Honey shade, fitting my olive skin tone nicely, being a yellow toned foundation. It has a light-medium coverage, and evened out my skin tone really nicely which I find important in a foundation as my cheeks are a noticeably paler than the rest of my face without make up.
The foundation comes in the prettiest simple packaging with a pump for easy dispensing, the perfect way to apply foundation without spilling half a bottle on your hand. When dispensing, the liquid is watery and light in consistency, but applies great with either fingers, or a brush. I applied this with a Real Techniques powder brush as well as fingers and found the same results, but of course it's all down to preference.
When applied the foundation feels fresh, light on the skin, and hydrating. It doesn't feel heavy at all, and almost like you're not wearing any foundation at all. I've noticed a significant difference in my make-up looks too, as my skin looks much brighter and healthier when I'm done.

To summarise: winning factors for me are the fact that it lets your skin breathe through, the consistent colour and evening of skin tone, the lightweight feel, and hydration. These being because I have very dry skin, and uneven skin tones as well as caring a lot about my skins health. I haven't yet noticed if it's lasted all day or not as I'm using this as my weekend foundation rather than wasting it on days to work, so that opinion is yet to come but from what I've experienced so far over the last couple of weeks, I haven't got any complaints on wear. I think the only thing I don't like is how it's not very photo-flash friendly. Tip: powder up! All in all, I think this is definitely worth a repurchase when I run out, and honestly love this foundation! I would recommend it if you're contemplating trying it out.
