Spotted Lilac

The other day, I bought a huge load of false nails from eBay a while back that would last me ages. I think it was something like 500 for a few pounds. Better than 20 for a double or even triple the price! I've only used them once before and I didn't keep them on for long so I decided to try them again as I didn't really get the full experience with these, and also thought I'd try out my newest colours.

I decided to treat myself to purple polishes this week, as I've been completely missing them in my collection, and ended up creating a simple design with class that I'm quite proud of right now (probably because I didn't mess it up as much this time). I always wanted a vivid royal purple colour and finally invested in one. I'm really happy that I found a one that I like so much, as I couldn't really find any decent but vivid purples from any other brand. I'm really into my purple tones at the moment, so these will definitely be taking centre stage in most of my nail art in the coming month or so!
I really love both colours and they both need a good two coatings for decent opaque coverage, and the Barry M makes you look like you've gone to the salon for gels! It does have an amazing shine so there's no need for a topcoat. As for the Rimmel, it has a beautiful glitter to it that you can only kind of see pictured. I've got ideas for my next design. It's, of course, something valentines inspired. I'm thinking something with love hearts and question marks. What do you think?

Have you got a favourite nail colour at the moment?
